Job Listings and Application

• Check for current job announcement on the Current Job Opportunities page.
• The City application form, which is available in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF formats, will be included in the position application package. The application must be completed and returned for any position for which you apply.  The package may also include supplemental application material depending on the position being posted.
  (If you are applying for the Reserve Officer position you must also complete the Reserve Police Officer Candidate Certification Form.)
• The supplemental application must be completed and returned with the standard City application form in order for your application to be complete and be considered.

Application Deadlines

• Completed applications must be turned into Human Resources Department, 10722 SE Main St. Milwaukie, OR 97222 by 4 p.m. on the closing date.
• Faxed applications are accepted if they are followed by a hard copy of the application, which is postmarked by the closing date.
• Information regarding the status of your application will be mailed to you.
• Applications are also available in the Human Resources Department at the address above or by e-mailing hr@ci.milwaukie.or.us or by phoning 503-786-7506.

If you report false, inaccurate or misleading information, it is ground for rejecting your application or terminating your employment if the information is discovered after the date of hire.

I-9 Documentation Required

Employment of persons hired by the City will be contingent upon presentation of acceptable documents to verify identity and authorization for employment in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

Pre-Employment Drug Screen

The City of Milwaukie requires successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen prior to the date of hire for all positions.
