Milwaukie Education System
The City of Milwaukie schools are part of the North Clackamas School District (NC12). Ranking sixth in Oregon in student enrollment, NC12 serves more than 40 square miles and is located 12 miles from downtown Portland. Included are the incorporated cities of Milwaukie, Happy Valley, and Johnson City, as well as the neighborhoods of Oak Grove, Concord, Clackamas, Sunnyside, Mount Scott, Southgate, and Carver.
Seven of the twenty six elementary, middle and high schools are located in Milwaukie. Students in Milwaukie also have the option of attending the district's special Professional-Technical Education school, the Sabin-Schellenberg Center.
