Stormwater Division Overview

Mission:

The Stormwater Division ensures that the City complies with the National Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. The division monitors pollutants in surface water. The Division also repairs, cleans and maintains over 1,600 catch basins, 654 manholes, 198 drywells and approximately (37 miles) 195,360 feet of pipes and ditches. Plans, implements and supervises capital improvement projects. Monitors and enforces strict erosion control activities on construction sites. Educates the public as to the importance of good stream, creek and river stewardship. Investigates and resolves citizen requests. Maintains (5) detention ponds: Roswell, Pennywood, Willow, Main St. and Ochoco.
