The Human Resources Department is responsible for providing a full-range of comprehensive human resources and programs to the City including but not limited to:
Develop procedures that enable the City to recruit and select capable employees
Participate in creating and maintaining cooperative labor/management relations with employees
Develop, implement and maintain Personnel Policies and Procedures
Develop and maintain a performance appraisal system that allows for an annual review of employee contributions and work performance
Develop and update the classification and compensation system
Administer Employee Benefits
Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment law
Provide organizational development and training
Provide assistance in problem solving and conflict resolution
Serve as a resource to the organization in all aspects of human resources management
