Councilor Greg Chaimov
Bus. Phone:(503) 778-5328 |
A fifth-generation Oregonian and long-time area resident, Greg Chaimov is an
attorney in private practice with, as the Oregonian newspaper described,
"extensive government experience." He and his family live in the
Island Station neighborhood.
Greg was appointed by the city council in December 2007 to fill the position vacated when Carlotta Collette became a Metro Councilor. Before joining the council, Greg took leadership roles in many civic organizations, including President of the Board of Trustees of the Clackamas County Vector Control District, Vice Chair of the Clackamas County Historic Review Board, Chair of the Ledding Library Board, and Vice Chair of the Island Station NDA. Greg continues to serve on the boards of the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce and the Ledding Library of Milwaukie Foundation. Greg served as chief counsel to the Oregon legislature and, when with the Department of Justice, as the attorney in charge of the state's most challenging lawsuits. You are most likely to see Greg exploring the town with his Labrador Retriever. |
