Overview
Board or commission vacancies are filled by appointment of the mayor with the consent of council. Appointments are made for terms not to exceed three years and will expire the last day of March unless mandated otherwise by state statute. All board members or commissioners shall serve without compensation. For a detailed description of the City's boards, commission and committees, please refer to the City's Municipal code, Title 2, Administration and Personnel. The Budget Review Board is the portion of this committee, which does not include council members and meets year round.
The budget committee is established in accordance with the provisions of ORS 294.336 to review the city budget document as prepared by the city budget officer and to recommend an approved budget to the city council for adoption. (Ord. 1795 § 1 (part), 1996).
