Wastewater Division Overview

Primary Function:

• Operation and  maintenance of  (70 miles)  369,600 feet of public  sanitary sewers, 1500  manholes, and 5 sewer lift  stations.

Primary Sources of Revenues:

• The Wastewater Dvision’s main source  of revenue is wastewater user fees
• Wastewater user fees can only be used to operate, maintain, and improve the wastewater system
• SDC charges are collected from the developers and homeowners
• SDC funds can only be used to improve the wastewater system
• Interest from investments, rents and other sources

Number of Employees:

• 4.5 FTE-1/2 Operation Supervisor

The Wasterwater Division Contracts with:

• Clackamas Service District #1
• City of Portland
• Oak Lodge Sanitary District

Divisions GOALS:

• Continue regular sewer line cleaning and inspection
• Use information from inspections for on the spot pipe rehabilitation to  minimize wastewater back-ups, ongoing analysis of the wastewater system components and capital needs assessment
• Complete a new sewage treatment agreement with Water  Environment Services
