Milwaukie Daze Festivities Next Saturday July
26th--Parade, Games, Poetry, Music and Fireworks!!!!!!!
After a one-year break, the Milwaukie summer parade is
back! The hometown tradition will take place on Saturday, July 26th. The theme
of this year’s parade is Old Time Milwaukie. It will start at 10:30 a.m. at the
old Southgate Theater site and end up at the Waldorf School parking lot. Please
come watch the parade. Some fantastic floats and mascots will be part of the
parade this year. Following the parade there is a poetry picnic at the Scott
Park amphitheater from 12:30-2:00pm with activities for kids! At the Waldorf
school there will be family games and a couple food vendors. All participants in
the games receive a free snow cone!! Later that evening come down to the
riverfront for live music with The Touchables and more! Fireworks will start
around dusk. The event is free, and all people are welcome to join the
procession. For information on how to participate, volunteer, or donate to the
