Tonight's Milwaukie Riverfront Plan Open House Rescheduled Due to Inclement Weather

Because of the nasty road conditions the Milwaukie Riverfront Plan Open House scheduled for Wednesday, January 17th at the Public Safety Building is being rescheduled for later this month. The meeting will remain at the Public Safety Building (3200 SE Harrison St.).

The Open House is designed to give residents an opportunity to review the final concept plan that is being refined by the design firm DEA Associates. The final concept plan includes the level of detail required for construction. The plan retains the boat ramp and parking, but introduces an amphitheater, a pavilion overlooking the river, a play area and an extended plaza. 

Work on the final design is expected to be completed by March 2007, at which time staff will begin looking for grants to fund the park's construction.
