Meetings Will Take Closer Look at Light Rail in Milwaukie

A series of three meetings have been scheduled throughout Milwaukie to more closely examine the proposed Milwaukie light rail alignment. Each meeting will focus on a specific segment: the southern portion that includes the Island Station and Oak Grove area, the middle portion which focuses on the Historic Milwaukie Neighborhood, and the northern section that focuses on the Ardenwald/Johnson Creek Neighborhood and the North /Industrial Area. 

These "segment meetings" are designed to allow people living and or working in each segment of the proposed light rail line in Milwaukie and Clackamas County to focus on the issues that matter most in each neighborhood, like potential property impacts and locations for light rail stations and park and ride facilities. 

The meeting details for these meetings are as follows: 

• April 16 - South Segment, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Portland Classical Guitar, 11923 SE McLoughlin Blvd. 
• April 18 - North Segment, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Ardenwald Elementary, 8950 S.E. 36th Avenue 
• April 26 - Downtown Segment, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Waldorf School, 2300 SE Harrison St.
