Welcome to the City of Milwaukie's transportation home page. The City established the transportation page to serve as a central resource for information about current transportation projects, commute options, and transportation policy and planning.

Current News

Transportation System Plan
The City of Milwaukie recently completed an update of its Transportation System Plan (TSP). The TSP is an important document that contains the City's long-term transportation goals, policies, and plans for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, transit users, and freight carriers. It identifies the issues and projects that are important to the community, and it helps the City obtain transportation funding from State and federal agencies. You can view the adopted TSP here.

Street Surface Maintenance Program
In December 2006, the City Council voted to adopt a Street Surface Maintenance Program (SSMP). The City began collecting revenue in summer 2007 and the first projects began in Summer 2007. Projects completed to date include: overlay work on 42nd Avenue (north of Harvey), 37th Avenue (from Highway 224 to Lake) , Washington Street (from McLoughlin to Oak), and Oak Street (from Highway 224 to Monroe). King Road was partially reconstructed from 43rd to Hollywood in Summer 2008. The next seasons set of projects is currently being evaluated. For information on the background behind the program and its establishment, please visit the SSMP home page.
