Staff extends their sincerest thanks to everyone who made this project
a success!
Thanks to a grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation,
the City of Milwaukie updated its 10-year-old Transportation System Plan (TSP)
with extensive input and assistance from the community.
The TSP is an important document that contains the City's long-term
transportation goals and policies for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, transit
users, and freight carriers. It identifies the issues and projects that are
important to the community, and it helps the City obtain transportation funding
from State and federal agencies.
The planning process for the TSP featured numerous
opportunities for Milwaukie businesses and residents to help shape the future of
transportation in Milwaukie. The public involvement process included Working
Groups, an Advisory Committee, a web-based survey, and an Open House. For more
information on what people who participated learned and what they had to say,
see "Public Planning Process" below.
The final version of the TSP is posted on the Planning Department web
site here.
