Mission:

To provide excellent customer service while protecting the public through consistent and efficient and administration of the State Building Codes. The Department’s primary functions are outlined below:
 

  • Provide building code information to residents and property owners.

  • Accept permit applications, fees and track applications through the review and inspection process.

  • Review permit applications for compliance with building codes.

  • Inspect building projects for compliance with approved plans and building code.

  • Work with property owners to resolve building code violations.
